Documents on a client profile lists the files your permissions let you see. A colleague may well see a different list.
Use the current document, and follow your organisation's care-document procedures. Expired files cannot be previewed or downloaded.
If the file you need is missing or out of date, ask the office rather than working from an old copy.
Step 1
Find the client
Open Clients, search or scroll, and open the matching profile. Check the identifying details before reading anything.
Step 2
Find the right document
Open Documents and use the filename and its date and expiry details to pick the one you need — an out-of-date copy is worse than none. Use Filter (tags and status) if the list is long. An empty list reflects what you can access, not what exists.
Step 3
Preview and read it
Tap the document to preview it (View in its ⋮ menu does the same) and read the part you need. If it will not open, use Download from that menu where it is offered, or ask the office for a readable copy.
Step 4
Download only if you need to
Download in the document's ⋮ menu opens the file in your browser or another app. It only appears where the document allows downloads, and it does not save the file into the app. Handle any copy according to your organisation's privacy rules.
Step 5
Other ways in
Documents are also on the client's profile in the web dashboard. Organisation-wide policies live in the Library rather than on a client.
