Every figure shows this period against the previous one — this month versus last month, this quarter versus last quarter — and six periods of history behind that, so a bad month reads as a blip or a trend rather than a surprise. A period that is still running is labelled as such: the figure is real but incomplete. A form submission tells you something happened. It does not tell you who picked it up, whether anyone reviewed it, or what was decided. Everything that happens lands in one thread of system events and human posts, hash-chained end to end: posts can be retracted but never edited, and the case can be exported as an internal audit bundle or an external regulator bundle with a "chain verified" check on the front.

The metrics page then answers the question a board actually asks. How many cases opened and closed, what share were resolved on time, how long acknowledgement takes, how long closing takes, which queues are carrying the load, and which cases are stuck with nobody working them.

Training compliance usually lives in a spreadsheet that is accurate on the day someone updates it. Certificates arrive as email attachments, expiry dates are noticed late, and the honest answer to "is everyone current?" is "probably".

Equipment goes missing between houses, a vehicle's warrant lapses because it was on a certificate in a drawer, and the cupboard has never been counted since the last manager left. These are small problems until an audit or an incident makes one of them large.

Moving it is a recorded event with a reason attached, not an edit: the location history keeps every period the asset spent somewhere, which is why an asset is archived rather than deleted when it goes. A warrant that was current on a given date stays true after the van is sold.

Obligations hang off the asset as documents and register entries — the warrant, the registration, the insurance schedule — each carrying the date the thing it evidences stops being valid, and each showing as current, near expiry or expired on your registers. Everything an asset carries moves with it, so a van arriving at a new house arrives with its paperwork.

Inventories handle the other half. A facility inventory is a register of what a house holds, organised by room, with a counting cadence and a due date. Stock takes run on a phone: room by room, quantity by quantity, with a reference photo of the item where one helps, and a per-item option requiring a second person to confirm what the first one counted. Every line records whether the number was entered or simply confirmed, so a bulk "confirm remaining" can never masquerade as a walk-through, and the submitted count is signed.
