This walkthrough covers clocking in. Record when you actually started — the scheduled time is a default, not a licence to record a time you did not work.
Use the dashboard Clock In shortcut where it appears, or open Shifts and the assignment as shown here.
Which controls you see depends on the assignment's status. If the shift or the button is missing, check with your coordinator.
Step 1
Open the assignment
Find your shift in Shifts, or use the dashboard shortcut. Open the details and check the date, times, client and location.
Step 2
Set the real start time
Tap Clock In. The sheet opens on your scheduled start, under You'll clock in at. If that is not when you started, tap Starting at a different time? and set the real date and time — check the date too, especially around midnight.
Step 3
Say why, if asked
If a reason is requested, pick the accurate one and add any detail it needs. Forgetting to record a start is not the same as starting late. The button on the sheet says Clock In — until a required reason is picked it reads Select a reason to continue.
Step 4
Check it saved
Read Start Time in Timesheets and check it matches. If the save failed, your attendance was not recorded. To fix a wrong time, see Edit recorded shift times. To finish a shift, follow the clock-out lesson — the button may say Early Clock Out before the scheduled end.
